This website is operated by The Co-Op Lab, a game publishing consultancy based in Madrid, Spain. We are the data controller for the personal data collected through this website.

2. What Data We Collect

We only collect personal data that you voluntarily provide to us. Specifically, through our newsletter sign-up form, we collect:

• Your first name (optional)
• Your email address
• Your explicit consent to receive marketing communications
• Timestamp and IP address of your consent (recorded automatically by our email platform, Brevo)

3. How We Use Your Data

We use your data solely to send you our newsletter, which contains updates about The Co-Op Lab, game publishing insights, and industry news. We will never use your data for any other purpose without your explicit consent.

4. Legal Basis for Processing

We process your personal data on the legal basis of consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). You provided this consent by ticking the checkbox on our sign-up form and confirming your subscription via a double opt-in confirmation email.

5. Data Processor: Brevo

We use Brevo (formerly Sendinblue, SAS, headquartered in France) as our email marketing platform and data processor. Your data is stored on Brevo's servers within the European Union. Brevo processes data strictly on our behalf under a Data Processing Agreement (DPA) that complies with GDPR requirements.

6. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as you remain subscribed to our newsletter. If you unsubscribe, your data will be deleted from our active mailing list within 30 days. You may also request immediate deletion at any time (see Section 8).

7. Sharing Your Data

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any third party for their own marketing purposes. Your data is only shared with Brevo as our processing platform, as described in Section 5.

8. Your Rights (GDPR)

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the following rights:

• Right of access — request a copy of the data we hold about you
• Right to rectification — ask us to correct inaccurate data
• Right to erasure — request deletion of your data at any time
